  • How old do players need to be?: Kindergarten (4 years old) through 8th graders.
  • Does my player need experience?: No, all experience levels are welcome.
  • What is the cost of Girls Lacrosse?: The 2026 registration fee is $340 for 2nd - 8th graders. Early registration is only $315 through January 15th. There is no registration cost for Kindergarten or 1st graders playing at grade level. See additional costs for uniform and equipment in the next FAQ..
  • Additional Costs/Required Equipment:: The uniform is an additional cost. Jerseys are required if you do not have one from last season. You can purchase the shorts and/or skirt through us, or on your own. Jerseys: $45, Shorts: $26, Skirt $22.50. Required Equipment (Play It Again Sports is a good resource for used equipment): Girls lacrosse stick, goggles or helmet, and a mouth guard.
  • Why do we have to register so early?: Planning the season with all of the other participating associations starts towards the end of the prior year. Ordering uniforms, renting fields and making sure we have coaches in place for the teams takes a lot of planning to make sure we are ready for the season.
  • What does the season look like?: Practices will begin the week of March 2nd, and occur 2 to 3 times per week. The frequency, days and times are determined by the head coach. Games begin March 14th weeks later and go through May 3rd. Most games are held on Saturdays, but some make-up games can be held on Sundays, if needed.
  • Can they play with a friend/sibling?: If the two players are at the same grade & skill level they can. If one of them is placed on a higher level team, that player would need to be willing to play down in order for this to happen. We encourage all players to play at their grade level or they get "left behind" when their team moves on to high school. We do not allow grade play downs.
  • They are playing another spring sport.: All sports require attendance to benefit both the player and the team. If the player is registered in another spring sport it means one or both of those teams is going to be neglected, and the player may not know what is going on in the games if they have missed instruction. This is not fair to the player or the team.
