2026 FALL SOFTBALL - Fall 2026

2026 Recreational Fall Softball Registration offers softball for 4 to 18 year-olds.

The earlier you register, the more you can split up the payments.

The age of a player as of 8/31/2026, where the player will be eligible for play in the 2026 fall season. 

The programs are identified as TBall up to 6 years old, Coach Pitch up to 7 years old or Recreational Softball for all players 8 and up.

If you are interested in being a head coach please submit an interest form HERE.  You can fill out the volunteer registration AFTER you are given the position.  Head coaches choose their staff, so please contact the head coach if you are interested in being an assistant or manager.  Thank you.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • What ages can play Rec Softball?: SJSA provides recreational between 4-18 years old (eligible if turn 19 on or after January 1st of the current year). We offer recreational T-ball 4-6 year olds and Coach Pitch for 7 year olds. Modified Kid pitch is played at 8 years old. The recreational option continues for ages 9-18. Leagues are formed for 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U.
  • What level do I sign my player up for?: Your Players age ON 8/31/2026 WILL BE: 6 & under - TBall 7 & under - Coach Pitch 8 & under 8U 9 & under 9U 10 & under 10U 12 & under 12U 14 & under 14U 16 & under 16U 18 & under 18U
  • Can my player play up or down a level?: Players can play up if their skill level is appropriate. Players CANNOT play down.
  • When is registration?: The registration period for FALL recreational softball opens in July. You may register online at www.southjeff.org. The earlier the more likely you are to get your requests, and the more payment options you have. No players will be placed on a coaches roster until all fees are paid in full.
  • Are there tryouts?: No, there are no tryouts for recreational softball. For competitive information, please visit codiamonds.com.
  • What is the season?: Practices begin by the end of August and games are on Saturdays from September 12th through October 17th.
  • Can we request a coach or a friend?: Yes, there is a place in the registration for requests. We do our best to honor them, but cannot guarantee them.
  • When and where are practices and games?: Practices are 2x weekly (1 time for TBall), and are in the Chatfield/Columbine/Dakota Ridge area. Coaches determine practice days, but they can be any day of the week. Games are scheduled by the Girls Softball League of Jefferson County, can be anywhere in Jefferson County, and are held on Saturdays in the fall.
  • What is the cost of Fall Rec Softball?: T-Ball and Coach Pitch are $150, Modified Kid Pitch through 18U are $180. Jerseys are an additional $28. They are the same as last spring, so you do not need to order one if yours still fits.
  • What equipment is required/recommended?: Required - Batting Helmet with Mask, Glove, Bat - Whatever size that is comfortable, Cleats - Rubber NOT metal, and a Gear Bag. Recommended - Defensive Mask and Battings Gloves
