Frequently Asked Questions
  • How old do players need to be?: We have several learn-to-play Pups programs for 4 year olds up to 2nd grade and Spring Lacrosse, this registration, for 1st through 8th graders.
  • Does my player need experience?: No, all experience levels are welcome.
  • What is the cost of Girls Lacrosse?: The 2025 registration fee is $340, but early registration is only $315 through January 15th. There is an additional cost for the uniform: Pinnie $48, Shorts $29 and/or Skirts $25. You can choose shorts or a skirt, or both. The required equipment is an additional cost. See the next FAQ.
  • What equipment is required?: Required Equipment (Play It Again Sports is a good resource for used equipment): Girls lacrosse stick, goggles or helmet, and a mouth guard.
  • Why do we have to register so early?: Planning the season with all of the other participating associations starts towards the end of the prior year. Ordering uniforms, renting fields and making sure we have coaches in place for the teams takes a lot of planning to make sure we are ready for the season.
  • What does the season look like?: Practices begin the end of February or early March and occur 2 to 3 times per week. The frequency, days and times are determined by the head coach. Games begin around 2-3 weeks later and go through the 3rd week of May. Most games are held on Saturdays, but some make-up games can be held on Sundays, if needed.
  • Can they play with a friend/sibling?: If the two players are at the same grade & skill level they can. If one of them is placed on a higher level team, that player would need to be willing to play down in order for this to happen. We encourage all players to play at their grade level or they get "left behind" when their team moves on to high school. We do not allow grade play downs.
  • They are playing another spring sport.: All sports require attendance to benefit both the player and the team. If the player is registered in another spring sport it means one or both of those teams is going to be neglected, and the player may not know what is going on in the games if they have missed instruction. This is not fair to the player or the team.
