2026 SPRING BASEBALL WAITLIST - Summer 2025

We have shifted from tryouts to a FREE waitlist for the 2026 Baseball season for 3rd - 8th graders.  After tryouts in July, we have successfully filled our higher level teams; however, we are looking for beginner/developing players to fill our 3rd - 8th grade AA level teams (2nd grade is full).  If/once we have enough players registered on the waitlist to successfully roster a team, we will reach out to confirm you are still interested and then have everyone on that team complete the full season registration and payment options.  Registration for 4 - 8 years olds will open later this year.

  • WE HAVE SHIFTED FROM TRYOUTS TO WAITLIST: We are now on a waitlist for 3rd-8th grade for the spring of 2026 (2nd grade is full). Please register, at no cost, and we will contact you if we get enough players to roster another team.
  • Who can tryout?: Athletes entering 2nd through 8th grade for the 2025/2026 school year. As we usually only have one high-level 8U team, if a second grader doesn't make the 8U Majors team, we have them repeat the Modified Kid Pitch level in our Minors Program (if age appropriate), then move on to 9U for their 3rd grade year.
  • Where and what times are tryouts?: TRYOUT TIMES - ALL TRYOUTS ARE BEING HELD AT SCHAEFER ATHLETIC COMPLEX - 3624 S. KIPLING ST, DENVER, 80235. 8U - FIELD 3 - 5:45 to 7:15PM, 9U - FIELD 4 - 5:15 to 6:45PM, 10U - FIELD 4 - 7:00 to 8:30PM, 11U - FIELD 1 - 5:00 to 6;30PM, 12U - FIELD 1 - 6:45 to 8:15PM, 13U - FIELD 2 - 5:30PM to 7:00PM, 14U CPREP - FIELD 2 - 7:15 to 8:45PM.
  • Do protected players need to try out?: No, you should not attend tryouts unless you wish to try out for another team. In that case, you will need to email office@southjeff.org and let us know that is the case. IF YOU ARE UNCLEAR IF YOU ARE PROTECTED, ASK YOUR COACH!
  • What does the athlete need?: Bat, glove, batting helmet, cleats and a water bottle.
  • When do we hear what team we made?: You will usually hear back within a week of tryouts. Once you have been made an offer from a team the player MUST be registered in our 2026 Spring Baseball Registration NO LATER than August 1, 2025, or they will forfeit their spot.
  • Can we walk up and register the day of?: No, we have to plan for the athlete to be there and have them on the sheets for each evaluator to score them for each skill; therefore, we need to have them registered before the deadline.
  • What is the refund policy for tryouts?: The tryout fee is non-refundable, but you will be provided a code to apply the $60 towards your 2026 Spring Baseball or Minors Baseball registration fees. If we cannot place the player on a team we will refund the money. There is no refund if the player isn't happy with their placement.
