2026 Spring Season Tryouts

DETAILS
  • WHO:  Tryouts are for 2nd - 8th graders. Times for each age group will be posted soon. 
  • WHEN:  July 2025, exact date TBD.  Age group times will be announced shortly.
  • WHERE:  Schaefer Athletic Complex, 9750 W Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80235 (southeast corner of Hampden and Kipling)
  • COST:  $60, non-refundable but will be applied towards the registration fees of the player.

AGE GROUPS - PLAYER CAN BE NO OLDER THAN THE AGE LISTED ON 4/30/2026

  •  8U 2ND GRADE - NO OLDER THAN 8  (if a 2nd grader doesn't make the 8U Majors team, their tryout fee will be applied to their Minors registration)
  •  9U 3RD GRADE - NO OLDER THAN 9 
  • 10U 4TH GRADE - NO OLDER THAN 10
  • 11U 5TH GRADE - NO OLDER THAN 11
  • 12U 6TH GRADE - NO OLDER THAN 12
  • 13U 7TH GRADE - NO OLDER THAN 13
  • 14U/CPREP 8TH GRADE - NO OLDER THAN 14 AND CANNOT BE IN HIGH SCHOOL

2026 Spring Season and Registration Information

Once a player is accepted onto a roster they will need to register to confirm their spot on the team.  Any non-refundable tryout fees will be credited to their account.

AA TEAMS 2nd - 7th Grade

  • The 2026 Budget is being finalized.  For reference, the 2025 Cost was $515.  This should not change much, if at all.
  • All Regular Season and Playoffs/World Series games played in the Arapahoe Youth League.
  • All AA games are played on the weekends.  Make-up games may be played on weekdays.
  • Hat, jersey, baseballs and insurance included.
  • Indoor Facility practices once a week, January through March.
  • Outdoor practices 3x weekly (2 field, 1 batting cage) March through June.

AAA/MAJORS TEAMS 2nd - 7th Grade

  • The 2026 Budget is being finalized. For reference, the 2025 Cost was $550. This should not change much, if at all.
  • All Regular Season and Playoffs/World Series games played in the Arapahoe Youth League.
  • Entry into one of the two available South Jeffco sponsored tournaments.
  • Hat, jersey, baseballs and insurance included. 
  • Indoor Facility practices twice a week, January through March. Outdoor practices 3x weekly (2 field, 1 batting cage) March through June.

CPREP-8TH GRADE

  • The 2026 Budget is being finalized. For reference, the 2025 Cost was $500. This should not change much, if at all.
  • All Regular Season and Playoffs/World Series games played in the Arapahoe Youth League. 
  • Entry into one of the two available South Jeffco sponsored tournaments. 
  • Hat, jersey, baseballs and insurance included. 
  • Indoor Facility practices twice a week, January through March. 
  • Outdoor practices 3x weekly (2 field, 1 batting cage) March through June.

TOURNAMENT ONLY TEAMS - Option for bringing a full team.  Please contact narnold@southjeff.org for information.

  • Cost $700 per player.
  • Entry into two South Jeffco sponsored tournaments through CABA and 1 tournament of choice up to $700 in value.
  • Insurance
  • Indoor Facility practices twice a week, January through March. 
  • Outdoor practices 3x weekly (2 field, 1 batting cage) March through June.
