The 2025/26 2nd and 3rd grade Cheer Team is full. The 2nd and 3rd grade Mini's Team is full.  Please email office@southjeff.org with the players name, grade and a phone number to be added to the waitlist.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • How much is Cheer?: Registration is $175 and the uniform is an additional $165 (if you need everything). You can purchase individual items if you are returning to Cheer. The earlier you register the more options you have to pay.
  • What grades can register?: Cheer is available for 2nd - 8th graders.
  • How are squads created?: Squads are created based on grade and they cheer for football teams in the same grade level. MINI CHEER SQUAD - 2nd & 3rd Grade, JV SQUAD - 4th & 5th Grade, VARSITY SQUAD - 6th, 7th & 8th Grade.
  • When are uniform fittings?: Uniform Fittings will be on Saturday June 14th & Monday June 16th. Time TBD.
  • When are practices?: Practices will begin on August 12th and will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5pm - 6:30pm in the Governor's Ranch neighborhood.
  • When are games?: Games are every Saturday from August 23rd through November 1st, including Labor Day Weekend.
  • Do I need experience?: There is no skill level requirement, however, athletes must be prepared to work hard and pay attention to technique for the safety of themselves and others. There is a significant time commitment that requires dedication from both athletes and families alike. ATTENDANCE MATTERS! Please review our attendance policy on our Cheer page before registering.
  • RESPECT FOR SAFETY!: Cheerleading requires a RESPECT FOR SAFETY! We do stunting, tumbling and jumps and want everyone to learn these skills safely to avoid injury.
  • Is there a Cheer Camp?: We hold a cheer camp at the beginning of the season. Dates are as follows - NEW CHEERLEADER CAMP: JULY 31st - AUG 1st. New cheerleaders will learn some cheer basics as well as cheers and dances that we perform throughout the season. ALL SQUAD CHEERLEADER CAMP: AUG 4th - 7th for ALL Coyotes cheerleaders, new and returning.
  • Will there be a parent meeting?: We will hold a brief PARENT MEETING on AUG 4th after camp. Time TBD.
  • League Super Bowl Performance: We will perform in the league Super Bowl on NOVEMBER 1st. There is potential for us to perform multiple times or not at all, depending on how our football teams do. The Super Bowl can be a long but very fun and rewarding day!
